Profile

Along with the basic theoretical education, specialised courses provide a comprehensive practical training in textile finishing and colouring as well as in textile inspection. At higher grades students are encouraged to work independently. Subjects of general education will lead the students to a general qualification for university entrance (Matura).
Professional Skills
In the field of textile chemistry future alumni will be particularly qualified in production engineering. In addition to a solid, comprehensive education in general chemistry students will acquire a profound knowledge in areas of textile finishing (fabrics and yarn) and polymer chemistry. The employment of modern manufacturing processes is as important as computer aided colour metrics and analytical methods. Potential work fields are the textile industry, chemical industry for textile colours and auxiliary materials, or an institution for quality control of textiles and synthetics.

University education
After a successful graduation students are entitled to attend a university, college, academy or advanced technical college (Fachhochschule). If students choose to attend an advanced technical college (Fachhochschule) they will receive credit for relevant courses at the HTL Dornbirn.
