Professional skills

Due to the well rounded technical and practical-orientated education students are prepared to fulfil even executive functions concerning project planning, launching and directing of companies. Furthermore the faculty of garment manufacture provides a deepened technical education concerning design, cutting construction and production of clothing.
 

Admission to higher education

Three options:

1. Students with good or outstanding achievements at the final examinations in Clothing Engineering (vocational school, 3 years) are entitled to pass over to the third form of Industrial Engineering (senior college, 5 years, main focus: Clothing Engineering) at the HTL Dornbirn. After a successful graduation from the senior college students are entitled to attend a university, college, academy or advanced technical college (Fachhochschule).
2. There exists also the possibility to attend a 3 years postgraduate course in Clothing Engineering
3. If students acquire relevant work experience after graduating from the 3 years school Clothing Engeneering they will be enabled to obtain a general qualification for university entrance.
